Shannon Turgeon!

While I was in LA I finally got to meet Shannon in person. we have known each other through work (she is a great stylist!) by email over like 3 years..
So because of lack of cozy cafes in the melrose area we met at the cafe in Henri Segal, we had a great time. I am looking forward to Shannon moving to NY soon!

This amazing store will carry "Circe" my fine jewlery line next fall!

New Stone Age

Los Angeles. California 90048

Jamila and me went to check it out on my day off in LA. I always like to see how the stores that carry my pieces look like. It's incredibly well curated and displayed. if you are in LA you have to stop by, it's so inspiring.

Frannie and Max run the store and surprise, surprise thay are also really nice

Los Angeles

Jamila!

so I will catch up a little bit on the great LA time I had! I was surprised at how much I liked LA! I think it had much to do with the fact that I got to stay with my darling friend Jamila. we had lot's of fun, and the whole thing was surprisingly relaxed even if I did the D&A trade show by day. I was so happy to see Jamila again after such a long time!
we had a fun "cruise day" after the show was over on monday. seeing stores and trying on big hats..
ps: Jamila is wearing the "Sticky Fingers necklace" and the "Found at Sea" necklace..

Thank goodness Jamila helped me break down the booth at the end of the show..I am always so slow at that. "Sweet Dreams earrings" helped too.

I took the red eye back to NY on monday, so we had time for a dinner at an indian restaurant! food & friends = favorite!

Thank you to the Best of Friends!

This season I have been working more than ever and started expanding quite a lot, adding a clothing line "Family Affairs" and a fine jewlery line "Circe" for fall 08.

Both projects have been dreams that I've been breeding for a long time and I can't even believe they have become reality. It's all been a big adventure in the past couple of months. i was able to do all this because of my brilliant friends and family. They have helped out in the most amazing ways and I feel so fortunate to know such brilliant people. so here is a little personal thank you to my TEAM AWSOME for the launch of Family Affairs and Circe:

Carmela Fleury, for doing the trade shows with me and sharing all her business advise with me and much, much more

Marion Zund for bringing so much professionality, precision, heart and style to everything she does

James Graf for helping me out on texts and putting up with my frantic self when my nerves are on edge

Jenny Tran for late night graphic design genius, straight talking, and for designing all the logos!

Jamila Tazewell for being an inspiration and giving me a home away from home in LA and for letting me hang out in culinary heaven!

Enrique Enre, the webbie techie who deals with my website demands and who doesn't like to be photographed.

Eva Bühler for keeping it together and making my life much easier

Sara Vargas for sending me supplies across the ocean and constant support

Dilara Erbudak for bringing lot's of hangers for me to Paris plus carrying the huge clock and helping me set up the booth!

Nadja Grimm for being being part of Family Affairs all the way in India

11:11 has a brand new website!

Jamila Tazewell is my great friend and fellow designer.. we go way back to our humble beginnings in a little dollhouse in Williamsburg. We both worked on our lines from our tiny rooms. Jamila had to fold up her bed every day just so she could sit at the desk and i had a window facing a wall. every time a truck went by the whole house shook. money was sparse but the food always good. before i get carried away here is the deal: Jamila has been working really hard to get her new website up and I think it looks great! wallets, notebooks etc. all in dreamy colors and just so much fun!

"Merlin's Secret" does Hope Hope

Get your Hope Hope on!

I just downloaded the new Hope Hope www.hopehope.ch, it's really creative and good! Marisa and Sybil do an incredible job pulling this off! just check it out yourself..
I did four collages for this issue for the subject "Primavera alergro no.1 allegro"
I did the collages while working in Jaipur, sitting on a roofdeck and in my hotel bed. it was great to imagine the vivaldi music amidst the mad colors of India.

My mum Kaya was present too, we did the new clothing line together and I am really proud of her. we went through quite an adventure to get it done!
